PHOTOS My First Two Weeks in Japan

I should mention first all, these photos come from the delightfully purple camera of one Corine Higgins, Brit roommate extraordinaire. I'm most grateful.

This delightful gentleman is Alistair-sensei, one of my trainers. We found this advertisement on a subway train on our way to Shibuya. It was just a cool little coincidence.

For Nessa and Ryan -- BIG PUFFS!

Ruby, a very very drunk Korean and I in a pub in Omiya

The gang. Last day of training.

Sitting at the pub and I notice this middle aged man keeps looking at me. I randomly make eye contact a couple times and then suddenly he comes over with a tray with a beer and a weird little fried pasta appetizer. He leaves the tray in front of me, smiles and backs away. I thank him and then notice he left his number on a little piece of paper next to the beer. Corine was a good roommate and drank the beer for me and I've kept the number as a cool little souvenir.

Nope. Not touching this one.

Giant crab attacking a building in Shinjuku. It was crazy, all the legs and even the eyes moved.

Shinjuku at night.

Miss the gang, but I couldn't have asked for better training mates.
